- Registration Form DEFENSE VISUAL INFORMATION RECORDS CENTER (DVIRC) INDUSTRY DAY/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION DEFENSE MEDIA ACTIVITY AMERICAN FORCES NETWORK-BROADCAST CENTER (AFN-BC) DEFENSE VISUAL INFORMATION RECORDS CENTER (DVIRC) RFI Tracking Number: HQ0028-FY15-0018 CONTRACTING OFFICE ADDRESS: Defense Media Activity 23755 Z. Street Riverside, CA 92518 The Defense Media Activity (DMA) is hosting an Industry Day/RFI to gain information on industry's best practices that would meet the agency's specific requirement for DIMOC Visual Information Services. 3. Background. The Defense Visual Information Records Center (DVIRC) is the official DoD Records Center for the storage and preservation of selected original and irreplaceable motion picture, video, still, audio and mixed media visual information (VI) records depicting the DoD, its heritage and its current activities. The DVIRC is responsible for the reception, storage, selection, preservation, retrieval, research, compilation, duplication, and distribution of significant DoD imagery. The DVRIC is responsible for the transfer of selected DoD records to the National Archives and Records Agency (NARA) in accordance with the Government Records Schedule (GRS). The DVIRC facility is co-located with the American Forces Network-Broadcast Center (AFN-BC).
