- Description
- The purpose of this notice is to inform that the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to procure on a limited competition basis with General Tool Company, 101 Landy Lane, Cinncinnati, OH 45215 and Oldenburg, 2141 Woodward Ave, Kingsford, MI 49802. This will be a procurement of 750 ea Trough Sidewall Clevises, PN 34000D1572740 in support of CVN 79. The required Clevises are Critical Safety Items (CSIs) and these vendors are the only qualified ones to provide these items per Technical Data Requirement (TDR) package #11-19000. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this synopsis in writing that contains information that may be used by the Government to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received within 15 days of publication of this notice. Any responses should reference N68335-15-R-0128. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for an award of a contract.
