- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - United States Penitentiary, Marion, Illinois intends to issue solicitation for the provision of QUARTERLY EGGS. This solicitation is unrestricted; FOB Destination and delivery dates will begin July 1, 2015 through September 30, 2015. Deliveries will be made weekly to the United States Penitentiary, Marion, Illinois, 4500 Prison Road, Marion, Illinois 62959. The contract type is a firm-fixed price contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The Government reserves the right to make formal single awards. The award(s) will be made to the responsible offeror(s) who submit(s) the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price related factors only. The solicitation will be available on or about June 5, 2015 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about June 15, 2015. The government reserves the right to decide how payment will be made using Electric Funds Transfer (EFT). All contractors doing business with the federal government must be registered in the www.sam.gov database (formerly known as Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database). All responsible small business concerns may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
