- The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8), Tampa, FL, intends to issue solicitation no. VA248-15-R-0760, Prescription Eyeglasses and Associated Fitting Service, for all VA locations within the VISN 8 geographic area, with the exception of Tampa James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital and Bay Pines St. Petersburg C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center. The scope of this procurement is to provide a comprehensive selection of prescription eyeglasses, including optional optician fitting service. Ophthalmology and optometry service is not included in this procurement. The scope includes all required frames, lenses and lens treatments, fabrication, assembly, shipping, handling, fittings, adjustments, eyeglass cases and any related items. Military Trail West Palm, FL 33410 The resultant contract will be a single award, firm-fixed price, Indefinite Delivery - Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Requirements, for a base 12-month period plus four 12-month option years. The solicitation will be issued at the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov) on/about 1 July 2015, with proposals due 30 days thereafter. The NAICS Code is 339115, Ophthalmic Goods Manufacturing, small business size standard 500 employees. Contract award will be based upon Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) offeror, IAW FAR 15.101-2. This procurement is 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms IAW FAR 19.1405. In order to be considered for award offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base and complete online Reps and Certs at https://www.sam.gov/. All SDVOSB offerors must be verified by the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) in VetBiz at http://www.vetbiz.gov to be eligible for award. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. No potential offeror list is maintained.
