- Single source items with Caterpillar as the only approved source (cage code 11083) The Government intends to issue a modification (single source award) to the Caterpillar, Inc. long term contract SPM7LX-15-D-0001, to extend the contract period from July 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015. This action will be completed by issuance of a single source award through a contract modification. The contract award is for 13,055 NSNs that are commercial price listed items for material handling equipment parts that are coded to Caterpillar, Inc., cage code 11083. See attached excel spreadsheet. This action is being pursued to ensure continued coverage of cage and part numbered NSNs listed while the successor and/or add-on long term contract initiatives are being evaluated and subsequently awarded for Caterpillar, Inc. parts. The current long term contract is scheduled to expire on June 30, 2015. Information regarding the modification (single source award) can be obtained from the primary point of contact Diane Weicksel ( diane.weicksel@dla.mil ). The listed parts will be procured as "all or none" per NSN. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however all responsible potential sources may submit an offer/quote to the point of contact above for consideration. All offers shall be in the English language and in U. S. dollars. Specifications, plans, or drawings are not available on these NSNs. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore the Government intends to solicit and contract with only the approved source under authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 ( 4 ) ( 1 ). Currently the only long term contracting arrangement is contract SPM7LX-15-D-0001 for all of these items coded to Caterpillar, Inc., cage code 11083. All terms and conditions as indicated in the current contract will remain the same for the contract period from July 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015.
