- PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), Project Manager for Training Devices (PM TRADE), Product Manager for Combat Training Instrumentation Systems (CTIS) has a validated requirement to field an additional 1294 PRTLS radios and associated accessories to the U.S. Army's JMRC at Hohenfels, Germany. The existing Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) communications infrastructure at JMRC requires that only Sepura (STP-9035) radio technology be employed to meet technical requirements of this infrastructure and to comply with German spectrum requirements. In short, the PRTLS radio for JMRC is a unique device which is only used at JRMC. ACQUISITION APPROACH: This action will be awarded in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, quote mark Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements quote mark. Raytheon Company has the technical expertise and knowledge of the hardware to provide the necessary supplies within the Government's required window for JMRC. NAICS Code: 334220 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: No more than 12 months after contract award. ESTIMATED DOLLAR VALUE: Approximately $1.4M RESPONSES REQUIRED: This notice is being provided to verify that no other sources can meet this requirement given the materials required to meet the current need for this effort. This notification is provided for contractors interested in teaming/subcontracting oppertunities. DISCLAIMER: This notice does not constitute an invitation for bids or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not a commitment by the U.S. Government to procure subject products. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this notification. The Government will use any information received by the closing date of this notice to determine whether other sources are available and capable to satisfy this requirement. All responses shall be sent via email to Contract Specialist, Mr. Daniel Steinhauer at daniel.j.steinhauer.civ@mail.mil. The deadline for submission is 2:00pm (EST) on 19 June 2015.
