- NASA/GRC has a requirement for a crane service to disassemble, crate, pack, and move a large lot of equipment and ancillary supplies we have recently purchased from Magnetics Technology Center in Pittsburgh, PA.This equipment will be moved from this vendor location to NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland. NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from Steighner Crane Service, 251 Simon Dr, Butler, PA 16002. This vendor has moved the equipment once before between Magnetics Technology facilities, and therefore they are familiar with the process. The companies are close in proximity which will reduce the cost of travel. The crating will be performed at Steighner Crane Service in Butler to reduce noise and dust at the Magnetics Technology Center. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisitions set forth in FAR Part 13. The Sole Source is under the Authority of FAR Reference 13.106-1(b)7. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
