Description
Justification and Approval The Southern Regional Contracting Office (SRCO), San Antonio Military Medical Center, Joint Base-Fort Sam Houston, Texas, intends to award a sole source quantity increase under the statutory authority permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition. SRCO intends increase the Monitoring Services and Equipment/Supplies quantities to awarded Contract W81K00-12-C-0063, with NeuroMed Inc, 812 Avis Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48108-1187. The anticipated period of performance will be 1 April 2015 through 30 September 2015. The monitoring services are required to monitor the functional integrity of certain neural structures (e.g. nerves, spinal cord and parts of the brain) during surgery. The monitoring services reduce the risk to the patient of iatrogenic damage to the nervous system, and /or to provide functional guidance to the surgeon and anesthesiologist. The required services are provided on an as-need basis throughout the year however only Neuromed Inc. supplies and equipment are compatible to the monitoring services. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
