- The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis in accordance with (IAW) FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) Bayer Healthcare, 100 Global View Drive, Whippany, NJ 07981-1544, as the only responsible source that can provide preventative and corrective maintenance service maintenance contract for three (3) Bayer Healthcare Angiograph auto-injector units. The U.S. Navy has a requirement for the Medical Treatment Facility USNS MERCY (T-AH 19) for Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance services on three (3) Bayer Healthcare Angiograph auto-injector units. Also needed is an optional "activation" should the ship receive a humanitarian mission. A contract with a base year and four (4) optional periods is desired. Bayer HealthCare is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the equipment. The PM must be performed by a Bayer HealthCare service licensed technician to ensure unit is operating within specification. Manufacturer unique specialty tools are needed to perform the adjustments and operations needed for the maintenance of this equipment. This contract will be for a base year plus four option years estimated at $76,085.00. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System 811219 with a Small Business Size Standard of $20.5M Dollars. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
