- Description
- The Bureau of Prisons intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the provision of Vocational Training Instructors (Horticulture, Building Trades, and Welding) to provide instruction for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex located in Oakdale, Louisiana. The contract type is an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract shall consist of a 12 month base period and the possibility of four 12 month option periods. The estimated quantities for the base year and each of the four option years, if exercised, for each vocational training courses are as follows: Horticulture - 1,400 sessions per year, Building Trades - 1,400 sessions per year, and Welding one class of approximately 20 students during the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters. The post-secondary, vocational training, industry-based school or individual(s) that will be responsible for providing instruction shall be accredited by the Council on Occupational Education and meet the primary Bureau of Prisons program objectives. The award will be made to the responsible company who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price related factors only. The solicitation will be available on or about March 27, 2015 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about May 29, 2015. Faith-Based and Community-Based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
