- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supplies or services whatsoever. BBG is not, at this time, seeking proposals nor will it accept unsolicited proposals. All who respond are advised that the U.S. government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the Interested Party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if one is released. The BBG is conducting market research in anticipation of a future requirement. BBG is seeking to ascertain if there are firms available who are capable of Providing depot level repairs to CPI Satcom satellite transmission equipment within the Continental USA and globally. Provide and repair future CPI Satcom equipment. Provide troubleshooting and first line repair training to BBG technicians. Provide technical support to BBG technicians at BBG Earth Stations globally The BBG is not interested in brokerage firms. The BBG is most interested in firms that can repair CPI Satcom equipment using only genuine CPI Satcom replacement parts and that employ CPI Satcom certified/qualified technicians. Firms who are interested are requested to respond to this RFI with a comprehensive written "Capabilities Statement," describing their approach to this Notice. The "Capabilities Statement" should include, at a minimum, the following: 1. Name of the firm; 2. State the business size of the firm (i.e., small, large, etc.); 3. Provide specific examples of the Firm's successful past performance in repairing and supplying CPI Satcom satellite transmission equipment, providing training and technical support. 4. Provide estimated repair turn around. 5. Clearly describe your ability to provide the services requested in this RFI. 6. Provide a listing of current or former clients for whom you have performed the services stated in this RFI. All "Capabilities Statements" in response to this RFI notice, must be submitted via email to Myria Carpenter at mecarpen@bbg.gov by 12:00 p.m., EDST, on Friday, April 24, 2015.Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. No fax, telephone or oral responses will be accepted. ALL STATEMENTS MUST BE SENT IN "PDF FORMAT" AND THE TOTAL SIZE OF ALL ATTACHMENTS MUST NOT EXCEED 23MB. ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE THE RFI NUMBER (RFIBBG0315MEDC) IN THE SUBJECT LINE. Those who respond to this Notice will be notified whether their written "Capabilities Statement," as verified by the BBG, is responsive to this Notice. If it is determined to be in the best interest of the Government, interested and qualified sources responding to this Notice may be requested to provide follow-up information. A determination to compete or not to compete in a future procurement will be based on the responses to this RFI notice, and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This Notice is not a RFP, IFB, or RFQ.
