- This anticipated contract is to provide training instruction in the area of environmental impact, the assessment of environmental impact and the management of environmental impact as it pertains to the US Army Corps of Engineers and to evaluate the effect of proposed actions as it pertains to the environment. Emphasis will be placed on the physical and chemical factors which can contribute to the environmental impact. The guiding sources for environmental impact will comply with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). NEPA provides procedural requirements for all federal and government agencies. NEPA requires the development and preparation of an Environmental Assessment (EA) and an Environmental Impact Assessment Statement (EIAS). In addition, instruction will include an overview of the Procedures and Guidelines for Water Resources Implementation Studies. The Procedures and Guidelines for Water Resources Implementation Studies provide governance on how federal agencies evaluate proposed water resource development projects.
