THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED AND VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES. The Pittsburgh VA Medical Center is soliciting bids under Solicitation No. VA244-15-Q-0572 for the following: "The service provider will complete a comprehensive asbestos survey and asbestos inventory of building materials for the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive Campus, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. Buildings subject to this contract scope include: Building 1 Medical Center (13 floors; 368,411 sf). The contracted inspection firm shall perform all work in accordance with the Department of Veterans Affairs, regulations, codes, and policies. The Solicitation documents will be available for download from the web https://www.fbo.gov on or about March 3, 2015. Potential bidders are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information. The Government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation. Bidders will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and subsequent amendments, if any. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation will NOT be honored. It is essential that interested parties register on the Interested Vendor Listing at https://www.fbo.gov, "Interested Vendor List". Individual copies of the Interested Vendor List WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer. The solicitation amendments issued to the RFQ will be posted to the website and bidders are advised it is their responsibility to obtain and acknowledge all amendments. Paper copies of amendments will NOT be individually mailed. The ONLY Pre-Bid Walk Thru will be held on Monday March 9 2015 at 10:00 AM EST. While the walk-thru is not mandatory, all bidders, suppliers and subcontractors are strongly encouraged to attend. All requests for information or questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer via mail or by email: carl.devitz@va.gov no later than Close of Business, March 16, 2015. No telephonic or fax requests will be honored. Questions will be answered by a solicitation amendment on or about March 20, 2015. The solicitation is expected to close on March 27, 2015 at 3:00 PM EST. The Government contemplates award of a Firm Fixed Price contract resulting from this solicitation. The maximum time for completion of the project is 180 calendar days after receipt contract award. Offerors must be listed as "verified" in the Vendor Information Pages at www.vetbiz.gov at the time bids are submitted, and be currently registered including completing online Representations and Certifications at the System for Award Management (SAM), www.sam.gov.
