- This is a request for information / sources sought notice only to determine the capability and availability of small business sources to provide the items indicated above. This is not a solicitation announcement or request for quote. No contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement, and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up requests. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is performing market research to identify small business contractors that possess the capability to provide gold and silver medals with the following specifications: Description: a medal suspended from coordinating ribbon; clear ?bubble? (i.e., protective covering) over medal holding medal onto tray; pin; and presentation box. Medals to be inside of blue presentation box as shown in picture. Dimensions: Medals measure approximately 1.5? in diameter. The presentation box measures approximately 7? x 4.25? x 1?. The pin length measures approximately 9/16?. Finish / Material: Products, including individual components (i.e., ribbon, lapel pin) must be identical to pictures provided. Precious metal is not expected nor is it necessary for the medals. An alloy metal with a gold appearance for the gold medals and a silver appearance for the silver medals is acceptable as long as the gold and silver medals look identical to the pictures provided. The presentation box must be navy blue and have ?United States of America? embossed on the front lower right corner in gold text. Personalization / Inscriptions: Inscriptions are identical to pictures. Reverse side of gold medal to read ?For Exceptional Service?. Reverse side of silver medal to read ?For Superior service?. Delivery: All ordered medals must be delivered by May 30, 2015. Interested parties may submit a brief capability statement, no more than one (1) single-sided, single-spaced pages, demonstrating their specific items which satisfy this requirement. Standard brochures, links to corporate websites, or attached item descriptions are considered sufficient to demonstrate the capabilities of an interested party. Feedback and/or evaluation information will not be provided to any firm regarding their individual capability statements. Telephone calls, facsimiles, and/or requests for a solicitation will not be accepted or acknowledged. The capability statement should include at least the following: (1) Name of business; (2) Contact information (address, telephone, facsimile, e-mail, website address); (3) DUNS number; (4) NAICS code(s) and business size, (5) socioeconomic classification; (6) specific item identified to satisfy requirement. Interested parties shall submit electronic copies of their respective capability statements through FedConnect or via email to the Contracting Officer at white.jessica@epa.gov in response to this sources sought notice by the closing date and time of the notice.
