- This is a Sources Sought Notice (Request for Information). The Government intends to establish multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) for mowing, trimming and custodial service for the US Army Corp of Engineers, Rock Island District. Calls will be placed against the BPA as services as required. The Contractor shall perform mowing, trimming and custodial services within three (3) days -notification of call order award. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, equipment and labor necessary to ensure mowing, trimming and custodial services are performed at the following locations: Fenway Landing Recreation Area Bear Creek Recreation Area Canton Chute Recreation Area Lock & Dam 21 John Hay Recreation Area Park & Fish Recreation Area Contractor shall maintain the growth of grass height between 3 to 4 inches. Grass and weeds shall be trimmed around trees, shrubs, buildings, fences, poles, posts, fire hydrants, parking lots bumper blocks, boulders, and other fixed obstacles. Trimming heights shall match surrounding area grass height. Required custodial tasks will differ from park to park based on facilities in the parks. Custodial cleaning tasks include cleaning of restroom facilities (waterborne or vault toilets), shelters, picnic tables, fire rings, litter removal in and around the area, and trash can refuse removal. Period of performance will be for three years from the date of contract award. The associated NAICS code is 561730 and the proposed requirement will be issued as a small business set-aside. Interested parties shall reply to Rock Island District Contracting Office VIA EMAIL to Carissa.j.needham@usace.army.mil. TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED. Indicate your interest and/or ability to provide the required title evidence NO LATER THAN 24 MARCH 2015, 10:00 AM Central Time. Vendors must be able to provide 100% of the item(s) listed to be considered for this BPA. A Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) as defined by FAR 13.303(a) is a simplified method of filling anticipated repetitive needs for supplies or services by establishing quote mark charge accounts quote mark with qualified sources of supply. The award of a BPA does not guarantee nor obligate the Government to any orders to a BPA holder in any way. When a requirement for supplies listed within the BPA arises, the Government shall compare prices of all BPA awardees and select the BPA holder that offers the best value to the Government. This should not be construed as a Request for Quote or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a purchase order on the basis of this sources sought or otherwise pay for information solicited.
