- Sources Sought Update UPDATE: THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ACTS AS A NOTIFICATION OF AN UPATE TO SOLICITATION #AF_DCGS_Reference_Data_Transition POSTED 30 DECEMBER 14. THE UPDATE CHANGES THE NAICS FROM 334290 (OTHER COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING) TO 517110 (WIRED TELECOMMUNICATIONS CARRIERS). AF DCGS is a worldwide network of fixed and transportable ground-based information processing systems employing net-centric capabilities to facilitate information sharing and collaboration. Capabilities are available to support sensor tasking and the posting, processing, exploitation, and dissemination of electro-optical/infrared and synthetic aperture radar imagery and signals intelligence collected by manned and unmanned reconnaissance platforms. In 2015, AF DCGS is transitioning to new mechanisms of ordering imagery data from NGA. The new mechanisms include National Exploitation Services (NES) and Net-Centric Geospatial-Intelligence Discovery Services (NGDS). AF DCGS currently orders imagery data via the NGA Imagery Exploitation Support System (IESS) and receives data to a site via Command Image Library (CIL) or Direct-Feed Image Product Library (DF-IPL). These services are scheduled to be retired in FY15. The purpose of this market research is to support the possible future acquisition of an enterprise approach for ingesting and storing imagery data on the collateral and high-side East Coast Hub (ECH) and West Coast Hub (WCH) Data Storage and Dissemination (DSD) devices. In addition, the possible future acquisition will provide content discovery and retrieval of the NGA imagery data. Retrieval may incorporate some combination of remote data visualization, data streaming technologies, and traditional file transfer capabilities.
