- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to award a Sole Source contract to Kipp N Zonen USA Incorporated, on other than full and open competitive basis for 1 each 2AP Sun Tracker 115/230 VAC, Sun Sensor Heater, Part #0353900-003; 1 each Shading Ball Assembly, Part #0353705, 3 shading balls for rear-mounted Kipp & Zonen global radiation instruments fitted with CV 2 or CVF 3 ventilation units to provide diffuse radiation measurements, including rear mounting plate and 2 x large side mounting plates for up to 4 x K&Z CHP 1 Pyrheliometers, 1 each Tripod floor stand for mounting and levelling of: 2AP, LAS, MPT5 & Brewer @ height 0.45M, Part #0353710, 1 each Cold Weather Cover, Part #12103152, 1 each CHP 1 Pyrheliometer – 10 K + PT-100, Part #0368900-034, 2 each CMP 22 Pyranometer – 10 K – 25 M cable, Part #0362930-014, 2 each Extended Temperature Test temperature dependence from -40.C to +50.C in 10 steps of 10.c, Part #0999920-3, 4 each Ampbox signal amplifier gain adjusted signal amplifier 4-20 MA, Part #0365901, 3 each CVF 4 Ventilation Unit – 25 M cable, Part #0378900-004, 1 each UVS-AB-T UV Dual Band Radiometer, Part #0354940-004, 4 each CVP 2 Power Supply 12 VDC output, Part #0349401, 3 each CNF4 Replacement Fan Filter, Part #2682047, 1 each Height Extension tube, Part #0353750. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334516 with the size standard of $7.5 million. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR) Part 13 and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of quotes or offers received in response to this notice. Vendors who feel that they can provide the above requirement may submit a quotation and technical capabilities, which if received within fifteen (15) calendar days of publication if this notices, shall be considered by NRL. All responses must be submitted to the Government point of contact at the email address shown below. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
