- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) FOR: Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) Distributed Device (D3) Production THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT (SSA) ONLY. THIS REQUEST IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT, INVITATION FOR BIDS, REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTES OR AN INDICATION THAT THE GOVERNMENT WILL CONTRACT FOR THE ITEMS CONTAINED IN THIS NOTICE. AFTER REVIEWING THE DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS CURRENTLY POSTED TO FEDBIZOPS, INTERESTED CAPABLE CONTRACTORS ARE INVITED TO PROVIDE RESPONSES TO THE FOLLOWING SOURCE SOUGHT REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT REIMBURSE RESPONDENTS FOR ANY COST ASSOCIATED WITH THE SUBMISSSION OF THE INFORMATION BEING REQUESTED OR REIMBURSE EXPENSES INCURRED TO THE INTERESTED PARTIES FOR REPONSES. Responses to this Source Sought are due by 1600 EST (APG, MD) 05 February 2015. Please submit all RFIs to Justin Doyle, EMAIL ADDRESS: justin.a.doyle2.civ@mail.mil. Subject line must read D3 Production, with quote mark Company Name quote mark. Additionally, your response will be treated only as information for the Government to consider. As previously stated respondents will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that are incurred in responding to this RFI. Furthermore, this request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the Army in developing its acquisition strategy, Statement of Work/Performance Work Statements and/or Statement of Objectives. Interested parties are responsible to adequately mark proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response accordingly. Synopsis: D3 is a repackaging of the current DAGR capability to meet mounted host platform applications that do not require a user interface. The use of D3 to replace multiple GPS receivers on a platform will reduce redundancy and decrease system lifecycle costs. The D3 will serve as a host for the Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) Ground-Based GPS Receiver Application Module (GB-GRAM) which utilizes Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) technology. The D3 will be capable of hosting the Type I and Type II Small Serial Interface (SSI) form factor of the GB-GRAM as defined in applicable design standards. The Government anticipates an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) eighteen (18) month procurement contract. The minimum order is 1 unit. The potential range quantity for production orders is 5742. The D3 Product shall be available for order upon the expected award date of July 2015. The D3 shall meet the performance specification MIL-PRF-DAGRDD-100-SCN003. The D3 shall meet the physical specification that current integration kits have been built to support. This specification is IS-PNT-001 rev d. Documents may be obtained upon request to justin.a.doyle2.civ@mail.mil. Requested Information: Vendors are invited to respond to the above described requirements. Vendor's responses are limited to five (5) pages and should include: 1)Description of past performance regarding manufacture of GPS receivers/products 2)Production Lead Time to manufacture D3 designed IAW MIL-PRF-DAGRDD-100-SCN003. 3)Production volume range capabilities in an annualized table.
