- The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center located at 1826 Veterans Blvd., Dublin, GA intends to issue Information for Bid (IFB); Number VA247-15-B-0230 for project #557-14-108 titled "Construction - Replace Air Handling Units Building 14" on or about February 4, 2015. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified or cancelled, the full solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBiz Opps (www.fbo.gov). This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, registration is required in the Official U.S. Government "System for Award Management (SAM)" at the following website; https://www.sam.gov. This system has consolidated the capabilities of CCR/FedReg, ORCA, and EPLS. There is no fee to register at this site. User guides and webinars are available under the Help tab. Additional help is available at the Service Desk URL: http://www.FSD.gov. In accordance with VAAR 852.219-10 VA Notice of Total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside and VAAR 819-7005; Offeror submitting a proposal must be CVE verified and visible in the VIP database at time of proposal due date. A pre-bid/site visit will be conducted tentatively February 10, 2015. The exact date, time and meeting location will be set/found/published on the IFB solicitation document. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. VAAR Cost Estimate: $2,000,000.00 - $5,000,000.00 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming IFB solicitation to satisfy the requirement of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. The Contracting Officer will not answer questions regarding this notice until an IFB is issued. Questions will only be answered that are received by Request for Information (RFI). The Contracting Officer will not maintain a bidder's mailing list. All interested parties should register via the FedBizOpps, Interested Vendors List. Do not contact the Contracting Officer for general contractor information. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. The scope of work for this project includes - but is not limited to: general construction and alterations to replace outdated air handling units that are beyond repair at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, Dublin, GA. All work shall be performed in accordance with plans and specifications. Accepted final project shall be in accordance with final contract documents, applicable plans and specifications.
