Description

SOLE SOURCE NOTICE UNUSUAL AND COMPELLING URGENCY THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS/QUOTES The proposed contract actions are for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-2, FAR 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete these proposed contracts based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The acquisition being procured is a Firm Fixed Price agreement for VA Long Beach Healthcare System Medical Center, Facilities Management. The request is to install water filters for the prevention of legionella on all ice machines, drinking fountains, and sinks in order to prevent any patients from getting sick. This request is to support the VHA Directive 1061, "Prevention of Healthcare-Associated Legionella Disease and Scald Industry from Potable Water Distribution Systems".
