Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 16 is performing market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, or large business) relative to NACIS 621999, All Other Miscellaneous Ambulatory Health Care Services (size standard $15.0M) that can provide the Lithotripsy Services at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030. The contractor shall provide portable, state of the art, digital units that can be easily moved into the operating rooms/cysto suite in the MED VAMC, Houston. The equipment must meet or exceed the following criteria: "Treats all stones anywhere in the urinary tract "Has a greater than 80% success rate based on FDA clinical study data "Is modular and can treat patients in the operating room/cysto suite "Has the ability to do endourological procedures before and after ESWL without moving the patient "Maintenance of the devices to include service and preventative maintenance to insure that the devices are in the highest level of functioning condition, with, as a minimum, maintenance performed at the manufacturer's manual requirements. Contractors shall also provide services of a trained and certified ESWL Technician to monitor the equipment and assist VA staff physicians in the treatment of kidney stones anywhere in the urinary tract as well as stones in other clinically indicated areas of the body. Fax or telephone responses will not be accepted. This notice is to help the VA Medical Center in determining potential sources only. No solicitation is currently available. All firms responding to this request for information notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award or to be added to prospective bidders list to receive a copy of the solicitation.
