- Description
- The Oakmulgee Ranger Distrist in the National Forests in Alabama has requirement for mulching. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, supplies and perform all work required to provide to chip previously felled pine and hardwood trees, remaining small standing hardwood trees, and all logging slash on approximately 89.3 acres. Mulch treatment must result in all slash, limbs, tops, stems and stumps severed to a height of no more than 6-inches above ground level. The contractor will need to protect residual trees. Trees of all species are marked with orange, blue or green tree marking paint and are to remain standing and undamaged. Longleaf Pine of any size or diameter are to remain standing and undamaged. Plus, protect RCW Colony Trees. Mulch or chip in-place tree and slash in close proximity to RCW colony trees. RCW trees are marked with a single band of white tree marking paint and are to be left undamaged. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The solicitation along with any applicable maps and specifications is expected to be posted around Dec 2, 2014 on this website. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. All interested parties are responsible for monitoring the Federal Business Opportunity website at http://www.fbo.gov for status of solicitation and amendments, if any. All interested parties must be registered with the System for award management (www.sam.gov).
