Description
Pharmacist PWS Pharmacist Solicitation Synopsis of Registered Pharmacist Services Solicitation. This synopsis serves as an annoucement of an upcoming solicitation for Registered Pharmacist Services at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. A solicitation for these services will be posted on or about 26 November 2014. The solicitation will be synopsized under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 621999, where the government reserves the right to award to an offeror with a different NAICS code. The purpose of the Registered Pharmacist Service is to provide pharmacy services for and on behalf of the U.S. government IAW the laws and regulations in effect on the execution of this contract. Services rendered shall be of a professional quality at a minimum meeting current recognized national standards as established by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO), the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), and the Standards of Practice, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. The contractor shall perform services IAW the ethical professional and technical standards of the health care industry and in compliance with all applicable law and regulation. The government intends to evaluate any offers received using lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) and shall award a firm-fixed price contract as a result. The government reserves the right to award to other than the low offeror if that offer is found to be the lowest price technically acceptable and is the overall best value to the government. The request for proposal (RFQ) package will be available for downloading and viewing at Federal Business Opportunities (FBO), http://www.fbo.gov on or about 26 November 2014. The RFP package will be available on the Internet only. There will be no hard copies of this solicitation issued. The solicitation, performance-based work statement, and any other subsequent attachments will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the government's best interest. All interested offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. Additional information on SAM is available at https://www.sam.gov. All contractors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted on FedBizOps are urged to enroll on the web site mailing list for this acquisition. Those contractors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFQ through their e-mail addresses. No telephone requests will be accepted. Availability of Funds: In accordance with FAR 32.705-1(a) and FAR 52.232-18 - Availability of Funds, the following is provided: Availability of Funds (Apr 1984) Funds are presently not available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
