Applicable Docs. II Applicable Docs. I Attachment II - Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP) Attachment I - Provisioning Technical Data (PTD) Draft Spec. Rev. A The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, In-Service Vessel Sustainment (ISVS) Section, has a requirement for the replacement and integration of the Propulsion System onboard the Coast Guard Cutter EAGLE (WIX-327) as part of a Service Life Extension Program (SLEP). This requirement includes the procurement of a Diesel Engine, Reversing Reduction Gear (equipped with Clutch, Trolling System for low speed and freewheeling operation, and Thrust Bearing), Propulsion Control and Monitoring Stations (PCMS), and Optional Propeller. These components shall be selected as a complete system, integrated into the existing propulsion system, and be designed in accordance with ABS Steel Vessel Rules (2014). Technical documentation and supporting equipment shall be included as well as installation support services and onboard training at the Coast Guard Yard. The NAICS code is 333618, and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. This notice is posted as a sources sought synopsis to identify capable sources for meeting this requirement and to invite industry's comments for the draft specification attached to this notice. All interested and capable sources are invited to respond with detailed information regarding their technical capabilities, product literature, previous performance for similar tasks, and/or questions and comments regarding the draft specification. This is not a Solicitation, and proposals are not being requested at this time. The Coast Guard does not currently have an estimated time frame for release of a Solicitation and does not intend to pay for any information that is submitted in response to this notice. A date, time, and location for a site visit will be provided via email to interested parties that express an interest within 7 calendar days of the posting date of this notice, NLT 11/14/14. The request must include the company name and attendee name(s). Names received after 7 days may not be considered. All attendees must have a valid driver's license and must be registered to attend through the Contracting Officer in order to participate. This will not be a question and answer session, but simply an opportunity for interested parties to view the existing space. Hard hats are required to board the cutter. No additional information will be provided during this site visit. All travel, labor, or material expenses incurred to attend the site visit are the responsibility of the contractor. Responses to this notice are due, in writing, by 12/10/14, 2:00PM EST, and shall include the business size status with respect to NAICS Code 333618, a technical capability statement regarding the specification requirements and the ability to provide Original Equipment Manufactured (OEM) supplies and integration services, and/or any questions regarding the draft specification.
