- Description
- This is a requirement for the Remanufacture and Remanufacture/Modification of the Hydraulic Drive Units. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish repair, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the F-16 Hydraulic Drive Units. A firm fixed price type contract is contemplated. The contract period will be approximately 7 months. The items and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: Remanufacture NSN 1650-01-340-6328, P/N 16M002-821; Applicable to F-16 aircraft; Quantity, 3 each. Item 0002: Remanufacture/Modification NSN 1650-01-340-6328, P/N 16M002-821; Applicable to F-16 aircraft; Quantity, 4 each. Item 0003: Over and Above Work; Item 0004: Data IAW DD1423s. Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from the Production Management Specialist prior to shipment(s): on or before 2 each per month beginning 90 days after receipt of order and repairables for Remanufacture and on or before 2 each per month beginning 180 days after receipt of order and repairables for Remanufacture/Modification. Award will be based on meeting our requirements and cannot be delayed pending qualifications of additional sources. APPROVED SOURCES are: Moog Inc and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 24 Nov 2014. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
