Description

RENOVATE CANTEEN IN BUILDING #1 (Project # 573-15-103). The VA intends on issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for both design and construction, to renovate the VA Canteen, located at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, Gainesville, FL. Project involves the complete renovation of the Canteen area, to include demolition/removal, new finishes, electrical and mechanical. Project Estimate is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The NAICS is 22360, with a business size standard of $36.5 MIL. This will be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside (SDVOSB). Interested SDVOSB firms must be certified in vetbiz.gov, prior to submission of the Phase 1 proposal. The acquisition will be accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 15 and 36.3. This will be a two (2) phase design-build solicitation process; whereby, the VA will select the top 3 rated proposals from the Phase 1 evaluation, and then those top 3 firms will be invited to submit Phase 2 proposals. One solicitation will be issued, to include both proposal phases. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued via FBO on/about November 28, 2014.
