Synopsis issue/closing date: 6 Nov 2014 Estimated solicitation issue date: 6 Nov 2014 ( combined synopsis/solicitation ) 2. RFQ# - FA8130-14-R-0002 3. PR# - TEMP-1223412 4. Nomenclature/Noun - KC/KDC-10 Airframe CLS 5. NSN - N/A 6. PN - N/A 7. Application (Engine or Aircraft) - KC-10 8. AMC - Not Applicable 9. History - Contract # FA8106-10-D-0001 awarded 1 Oct 2009. 10. Description: KC-10 Engine CLS Contract shall include: This acquisition will provide for a follow-on contract for KC/KDC-10 Contractor Logistics Support (CLS). The Contractor shall provide CLS for the current fleet size of 59 KC-10 Aircraft. Thirty-two (32) KC-10 aircraft are assigned to McGuire AFB, NJ, and 27 are assigned to Travis AFB, CA. The KC-10 mission is to provide global airlift and aerial refueling. The KC-10 is Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Type Certified and many of the systems are common to its commercial derivative DC-10-30CF (Convertible Freighter). The KC-10 systems that are not common with the DC-10-30CF include military avionics, a center line drogue; two (2) Wing Aerial Refueling Pods (WARP) and an Aerial Refueling Boom (ARB), a seated aerial refueling operator's station and a Universal Aerial Refueling Receptacle. The KC-10 can carry up to 75 passengers and approximately 170,000 pounds of cargo with Increased Accommodation Units (IAUs) installed. The acquisition includes a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirement to provide supply support for peculiar refueling systems for two (2) Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) KDC-10 aircraft stationed at Eindhoven AB, the Netherlands. The contractor shall provide mission essential global operations and logistics support with FAA certified parts and maintenance for the KC-10 fleet. The contractor shall provide for depot maintenance at a facility that is certified under FAA Federal Aviation Regulation (FAA FAR) Part 145 for inspecting, repairing, maintaining and modifying the KC-10 aircraft in accordance with (IAW) FAA Type Certification. This effort consists of three (3) general categories of support (1) Logistics Integration and Support (2) Aircraft Maintenance (3) Modifications. The contractor will provide intermediate and Depot Level Aircraft maintenance tasks necessary to maintain the KC-10 in a Mission Capable (MC) and airworthy condition. The maintenance, parts, labor and depot facilities must be compliant with the FAA Regulations and the U.S. Air Force requirements.
