- Description
- The Frady Branch Trail System provides recreational trails for equestrians, bicyclists and hikers. This project is to construct a trail re-route. Contractor will provide layout, planning and surveying, obtain required permits, and will construct approximately 1.2 miles of non-motorized multi-use trails that are low maintenance, sustainable, and that meet the needs of the user at a reasonable price. In addition, the contractor shall close approximately 1.1 miles of poorly located, undesignated, existing trails in areas that will remain in the trail system. The trail centerline has been mapped and flagged on the ground. The contractor will use this centerline to layout and construct the new routes within a 100 foot corridor with trail maintenance equipment. Trails within the Leatherwood Loop Reroute Project are to be managed as "Class 3 Pack and Saddle" as found in the FSH 2309.18, Section 23.12, Exhibit 01 (attached to this solicitation). There are specific design and construction criteria required to meet this management goal. The contractor will be required to produce a site plan based upon a survey of the proposed layout. Project Location: The work is to be performed at the Frady Branch Trail System. To locate project site from Toccoa, GA take GA-184 south for 3 miles. Turn right onto Old Historic 441 Hwy and go for 1 miles and the parking lot will be on your right. Project Timeline Estimated Start Date - December 1, 2014 Contract duration - 120 days Completion Date - April 15, 2014 Estimated Price $25,000-$100,000 A Complete Solicitation Package will be Issued by 11/14/2014.
