Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced contract to Spectrum Surgical Instruments Corporation. Spectrum Surgical Instruments Corporation will repair and refurbish surgical equipment and provide educational training to the staff at the Memphis VA Medical Center. This requirement will be sole sourced to Spectrum Surgical Instruments Corporation because the requested service is essential in maintaining continuity and to remain in compliance with established standards. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 811219 and has a size standard of $20.5M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 3:30 p.m. CST, November 12, 2014 to: Matthew.Cox@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
