Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) delivery order under the Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-11-G-0001 to The Boeing Company, 6200 J S McDonnell Blvd, St. Louis, Missouri 63134, for the T-45 Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (Out) (ADS-B (Out)) on a sole source basis under authority of FAR 6.302. The period of performance will contain a base period and three option periods. Activities to be conducted for this effort are the integration and associated non-recurring engineering to support the Engineering Manufacturing and Development (EMD) phase for 197 T-45C Aircraft, both with and without the Virtual Mission Training System (VMTS) installed, and 18 simulators that will be modified to comply with the ADS-B (Out) mandate. The modifications will include the integration of an Identification Friend Foe (IFF) Transponder, associated Digital Control Panel (DCP), and an Air Data Computer (ADC), as well as the redesign and integration of the Global Positioning System Inertial Navigation Assembly (GINA), the Mission Display Processor (MDP) interface and wiring, the IFF antennas, the Multiplex (MUX) Bus, any cable redesign required, and the development of the MDP Operational Flight Program (OFP) software. This notice of intent is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. This synopsis is provided for information purposes only.
