- The purpose of this modification to the presolicitation notice is to change the issue date of the solicitation to on or around November 17, 2014. The solicitation will include the due date of offers. Please continue to check the website for updates. This is a Pre-Solicitation Synopsis for the Rock Island Arsenal, Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center for solicitation W9098S-15-T-0012, which serves as notification to industry of the procurement of a service contract that requires preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair on Ingersoll Rand Air Compressors and Ingersoll Rand Air Dryers in addition to their supporting equipment. The supporting equipment includes devices that remove condensate from the compressed air units and their supporting storage tanks and devices that remove/separate oil from the supplied compressed air to the plant. The proposed action is a five (5) year contract which includes a base year and four (4) option years and will be FOB Destination. The solicitation will be issued as a small business set aside. The NAICS code is 811310 and the small business size standard is $7.5M. Contractors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be awarded a Government contract. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or around October 23, 2014. Hard copies will not be provided. Vendors may download an electronic version on or after the issue date by accessing the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI). CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidder's list. It is therefore incumbent upon interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of the same.
