- Description
- Attachement I: 225_WLB_MMA_Procurement Specification _Auxilary_Seawater_Cooling_ Marine_Growth_Prevention_System The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, In-Service Vessel Sustainment (ISVS) Section, has a requirement for the procurement of nine (9) new Marine Growth Prevention System for the Auxiliary Seawater systems for the 225' WLB Class Buoy Tenders under the Mid-life Maintenance Availability (MMA) Program. The objective of this effort is to procure a system to prevent the growth of micro and macro-fouling agents within the piping of the seawater cooling system. Presence of these fouling agents restricts flow and decreases the efficiency of ship piping systems. This procurement shall include the Marine Growth Prevention systems, Technical Documentation, Data for Provisioning, necessary spare parts, and Technical Representative support. Installation of the assembly will be performed by the Coast Guard (CG) YARD. This is a Request for Information (RFI) concerning Attachment I, 225_WLB_MMA_Procurement Specification _Auxilary_Seawater_Cooling_ Marine_Growth_Prevention_System. Proposals are not being requested at this time. Attachment I is a Draft Specification and is intended to gauge industry's interest and capabilities for the purpose of conducting market research. All interested parties are encouraged to respond with the following: 1) any questions regarding the specification, 2) technical capabilities to meet the specification, 3) business size (large/small) with respect to NAICS Code 334513 (small business size standard is 500 employees), and/or 3) recommendations for the specification. Parties are encouraged to submit any product/technical information such as part numbers/NSN's, drawings, and/or performance characteristics to demonstrate their ability to meet the draft specification requirements for this crane and the integrated controls. All submissions shall be made in writing to Christina Ayers at Christina.L.Ayers@uscg.mil and Eric Schmid at Eric.D.Schmid@uscg.mil and shall not exceed fifteen (15) single-sided pages. At this time, the USCG DOES NOT have an estimated time frame for the release of a solicitation and this is NOT a request for quotations/proposals. The Government does not intend to pay for any information that is submitted in response to this Request for Information (RFI). The above questions and/or information must be received no later than twelve (12) calendar days from the date this notice is published. Information received after this period may not be considered.
