Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Rock Island District is seeking System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered small businesses that can identify a single source medical provider to conduct occupational health medical exams, conduct pre-employment exams with medical tests and provide current employee medical surveillance exams with medical testing. The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) Code is 621999 with a corresponding size standard of $14.0 million. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. NO AWARD will be made from this Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a request for proposal or quote or an invitation for bid. Particularly, the purpose of this NOTICE is to gain knowledge of potential System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered businesses. Rock Island District experiences approximately 205 employee medical surveillance exams with medical testing for those employees who are required to be medically evaluated in accordance with District Medical Surveillance Policy. These current employees are dispersed at duty stations in 3 different states near 25 different cities (see note below). Note: Employees shall not be required to drive more than 25 miles from their duty station to receive these exams and medical tests; see Appendix A for the list of cities and states near these duty stations. The project consists of the following: The single medical provider will be required to perform occupational health medical exams and testing in an occupational health standard of care at the direction of the District Occupational Health Officer. Exams and tests will need to be performed within one week of the request during the employees shift (Generally first shift). Specific forms and documents provided by the District Occupational Health Officer must be utilized. The exam and tests must be performed within 25 miles of the employee's duty station. Each duty station has between 3 and 30 employees who may require occupational health related medical exams/testing and surveillance for known or expected occupational health exposures. The provider will be required to provide a Medical Doctor (MD) familiar with occupational health exposures and qualified to perform exams for commercial driver license/ DOT, underwater divers and USCG merchant marine operators. Services must be provided within an Occupational Health standard of care. The provider will be required to provide tests such as x-rays with a radiological read, blood draws and urine test for heavy metal surveillance with interpretation, audiometric testing, spirometry testing and EKG testing/review near the employees duty station noted above. Pre employment occupational health exams with medical testing are also required for applicants who may be exposed to certain occupational health hazards. These exams are also required to be provided near the list of cities/states in Appendix A. In addition, the provider may be required to provide these exams and testing in other locations throughout the nation under the same standard of care.
