- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a fixed price sole source delivery order to the Boeing company for support of a partial de-modification / re-modification of two (2) F/A-18E and two (2) F/A-18F aircraft after the Validation and Verification installations of the Digital Memory Device to temporarily return the aircraft to an AMU configuration, under the Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-11-G-0001. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (C) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, 'Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirments.' Boeing is the designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the F/A-18 aircraft in its various configurations; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise required to accomplish this effort.
