- Description
- The project is located within an access-controlled industrial area onboard the Naval Air Station Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida. The project consists of the complete replacement of the HVAC system in the west side of Building 101U. The work will require multi-discipline trades and include the following: HVAC duct, chilled water piping, multi-ton chillers, cooling tower and multiple air handling unit demolition and replacement; new direct digital controls for replacement HVAC equipment; suspended ceiling system and lighting demolition and replacement; asbestos abatement; and demolition of rooftop HVAC penthouse with replacement built-up roofing system. The work will require a phased approach and close coordination with the Government due to the sponsor's requirement to maintain operations within the building during the system replacement. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS - Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government. Proposals will be evaluated on Technical Merit, Past Performance, and Price. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The Period of Performance is 365 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). THIS PROCUREMENT IS A COMPETITIVE 8A SET-ASIDE TARGETED TO THOSE 8A OFFERORS SERVICED BY THE NORTH FLORIDA SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION OFFICE. The solicitation will be issued on or about 14 November 2014 with bids due on or about 6 January 2015. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/.
