- Description
- This synopsis provides notice of the award of a sole source contract to Spalding Consulting. This effort will provide continuity of Naval Aviation Logistics Data Analysis ( NALDA) and Decision Knowledge Programming for Logistics Analysis and Technical Evaluation (DECKPLATE) Support to the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Logistics Competency (AIR-6.8) at Patuxent River, MD while a follow-on effort is competed. A follow-on competition is currently in process with the Army Contracting Command (ACC) - New Jersey, located at Fort Dix, NJ 08640. This extension covers a period of performance of one (1) year with a six (6) month base period and three (3), two (2) month option periods. Per FAR Subpart 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisy the requirements," Spalding Consulting is the sole source capable of providing these efforts without creating an impact on project schedules and operations that would be caused by a break in service. Because of the nature of this requirement and the impracticality and substantial costs, a determination was made to procure these services via a sole source contract.
