- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), will be hosting a Vendor Outreach Session (VOS) located in Washington, DC, on November 20, 2014 from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm. The VOS will be held at Homeland Security Acquisition Institute located at 90 K Street NE, Suite 1200, Washington, DC 20002. Vendor Outreach Sessions are a series of pre-arranged 15-minute appointments with Small Business Specialists from various components of the Homeland Security procurement offices. These sessions provide the small business community an opportunity to discuss their capabilities and learn of potential procurement opportunities. Also in attendance will be Prime Contractor Small Business Liaisons from several of the large businesses who have contracts with DHS. There is no cost to the small business vendors. Sign up for the November 20th, Vendor Outreach Sessions will be on November 13, 2014, beginning at 12:00 noon, Eastern Time. Please read the instructions carefully as the sessions fill up quickly. NOTE : This session is reserved for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses ONLY in honor of Veterans Day. Individuals will want to register their companies ahead of time and choose a password for speed in signing up the day of registration. Directions to the Homeland Security Acquisition Institute are as follows: Walking Directions from Union Station Metro Stop (Red Line) • Exit Station through the Massachusetts Ave. NE & 1st St. NE exit(which is an immediate left after the toll booth) • Start out going west • Turn slight left • Turn slight right • Turn sharp right onto 1st St NE • Turn left onto K St NE • 90 K ST NE is on the right There are two parking garages one on 1st Street and one under the building. Cost is $8.00 and $9.00 if you arrive before 9:00 am. To enter the 90 K Street building, you must have a government issued photo ID card (driver's license or state issued ID) if not employed by the federal government. The name(s) of all visitors will be submitted to building security 48 hours prior to visiting 90 K Street, therefore last-minute substitutes will not be permitted to enter the building.
