- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY - The Government is currently conducting market research to gather information and identify potential sources for the requirement identified below. A solicitation is not available at this time, and requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the United States Government. NOAA's Acquisition & Grants Office, Western Acquisition Division-Boulder, in support of the National Marine Fisheries Service Office of Law Enforcement Division seeks potential vendors to provide covered storage for a patrol boat and trailer and including lockable storage for ancillary equipment and gear. Reference the Statement of Need (SON). Please provide the following information as requested: 1) A statement that you believe that your firm has the capability to meet these requirements and perform these services to include the location of the storage facility in Homer, Alaska; 2) Your firm's DUNS number & CAGE code; 3) Your firm's SBA certified small business concern status. Specifically identify if your firm is a small business, HUBZone-certified, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Woman Owned or SBA 8(a) program certified; All information received in response to this notice shall be treated as Business Sensitive or confidential to the responder, exempt from public release under the Freedom of Information Act. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the United States Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the United States Government. Proprietary information submitted should be marked appropriately. All submitted information shall remain with the U.S. Government and will not be returned. STATEMENT OF NEED FOR SERVICE NOAA FISHERIES OFFICE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT COVERED AND ENCLOSED STORAGE PURPOSE: NOAA Fisheries Office of Law Enforcement conducts enforcement activities and inspections on crabbing and fishing vessels at sea. These activities are performed using a 27' patrol vessel. This patrol vessel when not in use on the water, is kept on a 35' trailer and stored out of the water and under cover. Additionally, there is a substantial amount of enforcement equipment and vessel/tow vehicle equipment that needs secure storage. The purpose of this procurement is to quickly establish covered storage for our patrol vessel and trailer before winter weather hits here in Alaska, as well as obtaining a close proximity enclosed lockable storage for ancillary equipment and gear for operations and maintenance of the vessel/trailer. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: • 1 10' x 40' accessible covered storage area for boat and trailer • 1 12' x 36' enclosed/lockable storage unit • Storage location is Homer Alaska DELIVERABLE SCHEDULE: PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE We are requesting delivery (Base Period of Performance) for December 1, 2014 to November 30, 2015, with an additional option year of December 1, 2015 to November 30, 2016.
