- Description
- Angeles Forest Highway is located approximately 20 miles north-northwest of Pasadena as Angeles Forest Highway begins at the intersection with Angeles Crest highway and continues northward to the intersection with California State highway 14. Angeles Forest highway traverses the Angeles National Forest and climbs up over the San Gabriel Mountains and features sharp horizontal curves & vertical curves. Significant items and quantities: Work will include 23,500 tons of hot asphaltic concrete pavement, 275,000 square yards of continuous cold recycled base course, 1,725 sta. of ditch reconditioning, 45,000 square yards of inverted asphalt gutter, 525,000 linear feet of pavement markings, 4,500 hours of flagging, 2,250 hours of pilot car and other miscellaneous bid items. It is anticipated that this project will be advertised in early November 2014 with Notice to Proceed issued in mid-January 2015. This project is scheduled for completion in late September 2015.
