- Description
- This solicitation is for the purchase of an Operational Loads Monitoring System (OLMS) on Forest Service or Contractor operated aircraft. During firefighting operations the workload for both the air and ground crews is quite intense. Therefore the recording system installed on these aircraft must rely on minimal intervention by the flight and/or ground crews for data acquisition, initial data validation, and data downloading. OLMS Hardware is comprised of all equipment required for recording, signal conditioning, sensors, transducers, and data extraction (download/ upload) equipment required to acquire, record and transmit variations in required parameters. The OLMS Hardware GPS update rate shall be a minimum of 4 Hz. A GPS update rate of greater than 4 Hz will be allowed and shall be multiples of 4, i.e. 8, 12, 16, 32.
