- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON A NONCOMPETITIVE BASIS The Federal Trade Commission intends to award a sole source GSA Schedule purchase order on a non-competitive basis to EBSCO Industries, Inc. of Ipswich, MA to obtain subscription and data access. The Government intends to award the contract under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) - Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. Description of Services: The Federal Trade Commission proposes to enter into a sole source contract with EBSCO Industries, Inc. to obtain highly specialized subscription and data access. Required services include: Subscriptions service to the EBSCO Information Services Periodicals. This GSA purchase order will allow the FTC to facilitate the FTC's abilities to obtain necessary up-to-date and archival proprietary data on matters found in a wide variety of periodicals that are necessary to fulfilling the mission of the FTC. Duration: The period of performance of the anticipated award will be 12-months from date of award. Estimated Value: The estimated value of this order is under $75,000.00, determined by a firm fixed price independent government estimate. Interested parties may submit responses that demonstrate their ability to provide services described herein. The Government will consider responses that are received within 3 days of posting this notice in accordance with this announcement.
