- Description
- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because there is only one responsible source due to a unique capability provided, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements (FAR 6.302-1). See posted J&A for further information. Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC) has a requirement for the evaluation, repair and integration of a Government-furnished Raman hyperspectral imaging system. The system shall be integrated into an ultraviolet (UV) Raman imaging testbed being developed by ECBC, with the intent to further advance knowledge of Raman hyperspectral imaging. A contractor-developed Raman system previously delivered to the Government will be refurbished and integrated into the new ECBC testbed. This contract will be awarded to ChemImage Sensor Systems of Pittsburgh, PA. As ChemImage developed the system in question, it is uniquely qualified to assess the system condition and perform any necessary repairs and refurbishments. ChemImage (CAGE 45KY7) is a Small Business.
