- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit Ace Computers, of Arlington Heights, IL on a sole source basis. The Applied Aerodynamics and Store Separation Branch (AIR 4.3.2.1) of NAVAIR in Patuxent River, MD has the requirement to augment its 320-core, 640 GByte Linux compute cluster. The augmented cluster must be 100% consistent with the current system in every way. As a result, the augmentation of the current cluster is being sole sourced to Ace Computers, 1PWX7. Ace computers understands what is required and they are the only company that we trust for this augmentation. The Government intends to procure the above items under the statutory authority of 10 USC 304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government, not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award of a contract for the effort described above.
