Description

DHS GETS J&A for Verizon extension The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)/Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) Soctt Field Office has issued modification P00046 to contract HC1013-04-C-5001 for the Verizon Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS) Contract. This is a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price contract. The purpose of this modification to deploy Next Generation Networks (NGN) Priority Service (PS) enhancements to Verizon's Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) infrastructure to support national security and emergency preparedness (NS/EP) telecommunications. The current contract was awarded for a 1 year base period plus nine 1 year options and expires on 26 September 2014. This is a no-cost three month extension to extend the current contract for an additional three months to 31 Dec 2014 to complete the previously contracted for implementation effort. Both Verizon and one of its subcontractors encountered delays that impact the overall implementation schedule.
