- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: This is NOT a request for proposal. This is a synopsis for a competitive, total small business set-aside for a service acquisition as required by FAR Part 5.2. Vendors shall NOT submit proposals until the Final Solicitation is posted to this website. The 325th Contracting Squadron, Tyndall AFB, FL, announces the anticipated release of the Watercraft Operations and Maintenance solicitation on or about 5 Nov 14. The purpose of this contract is to provide direct sea support for search and recovery of sub-scale drone targets, corridor launch clearance, and vessel maintenance. The contractor will be responsible for Government-owned vessels and all other associated Government-furnished property necessary to maintain sea readiness of assigned vessels. The solicitation will result in a firm, fixed price contract with a base year (13 Feb 15 - 30 Sep 15) and four (4) one-year option periods extending through 30 Sep 19. The successful contractor will be selected using lowest price technically acceptable source selection procedures in accordance with FAR 15.101-2, resulting in the best value for the Government. The solicitation will only be available on the website at www.fbo.gov. No paper copies will be issued. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of this solicitation package. Interested parties should register on-line and subscribe to receiving procurement announcements related to this solicitation. *After release of the solicitation, a Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at Tyndall AFB, FL. Instructions will be included in the Addendum to FAR 52.212-1 of the solicitation document. When the solicitation and all associated documents have been downloaded, it is important to read the solicitation in its entirety because there are dates and terms and conditions that must be met by prospective offerors in order for the proposal to be considered responsive. The applicable NAICS Code and size standard for this acquisition are 488330 and $35.5M. This acquisition will be a competitive total small business set-aside. To be eligible for contract award offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Registration is accomplished via the SAM website at https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM.
