- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command, PMA-266, awarded a delivery order under Army BOA W58RGZ-12-G-0002 for commercial spares for the MQ-8C Fire Scout to Bell Hellicopter of Hurst, TX. The contractor is responsible for providing labor, parts, and materials necessary to manufacture and deliver spare parts and supplies in support of the Edurance Upgrade of the VTUAV MQ-8C Fire Scout. The contract action was for hardware for which the Government solicited and negotiated with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A), states services may be deemed to be available only from one responsible source when it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition.
