Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed-Price, sole-source Delivery Order under contract SPE4A1-14-G-0009 to General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE) to provide initial cadre training in support of Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) 6355 Generator Convertor Unit (GCU) Peculiar support Equipment.This action identifies the requirement for F/A-18 and EA-18G GCU Intermediate Level of maintenance initial cadre training in support of ECP 6355R1C1. Training includes an overview of testing and troubleshooting the F/A-18 and EA-18G GCU utilizing the Aircraft Engine Component Test Stand (AECTS)/F/A-18 Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) Test Bench. The planned period of performance is 12 months from the date of contract award. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (C)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, 'Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.'
