Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only acknowledgment and a written solicitation will not be issued. This contract is being procured a sole source basis due to the fact that Stryker Medical is the only manufacturer of Stryker patient care beds, stretcher and EMS parts and service. No other known company manufactures or services their parts. This is being procured on an only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements per FAR 6.302-1. Eight (8) Xprt mattresses for the In-Touch critical care beds currently in use at the facility are in need of annual service and maintenance for continuity in patient care. The service contract duration is from October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015 and is for Xprt mattresses to include parts, labor and travel associated with one annual maintenance inspection, unscheduled service class and TJC equipment checklist. This requirement is unrestricted-insufficient small business for commercial items under the North Atlantic Industrial Classification System (NAICS) 811219.
