- This solicitation will contain NSN 5330-01462-2765, for a SEAL NONMETALLIC,SPECIAL SHAPED SECTION, used on the F-18 Aircraft. A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued for award of a firm fixed price contract. This item must be acquired from an approved manufacturer; Boeing, Ca g e (76301) P / N: 74A463725-1005 ; the quantity is as follows: 77 each. FOB: Origin; Inspection/Acceptance: Origin based on the Basic Order Agreement. D e livery: 548 DARO. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of p r ice, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitat i on. The solicitation issue date is on or about November 10, 2014; In accordan c e with 10 U. S. C. 2304 (c) (1), other than full and open competition applies. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the approved s ource of supply under the a u thority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their int e rest and capability to respo n d to the requirement or s u bmit proposals. This notice of intent is n o t a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals recei v ed within forty-five days after date of publi c ation of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A dete r mination by the Government not to c o mpete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of d e t e rmining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
