- Sources Sought Announcement Transient Alert/Aircraft Wash Services THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The 87th Contracting Squadron (87 CONS) is conducting market research to determine the availability, interest and capability of potential sources qualified and able to compete for a contract to perform transient alert and aircraft wash services requirement at McGuire and Dix location of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL). The information in this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date. This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government. Updated information will be provided in future announcements and posted electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBiz Opps) homepage at www.fbo.gov. The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this request for information/sources sought notice. The 87 CONS intends to issue a modification for a six month extension of service in accordance with FAR 52.217-8 for the period 1 Oct ‘14 - 31 Mar ‘15 for transient alert and aircraft wash services to be performed at McGuire-Dix location of JB MDL. The contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision and management to perform transient alert and aircraft wash services to the standards specified within the Performance Work Statement (PWS). All work performed by the contractor shall be performed in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, Air Force standard instructions and commercial practices as set for the in the PWS. The NAICS code for this requirement is 488190, Other Support Activities for Air Transportation. The Small Business Size Standard is $30,000,000. The Government requests interested parties submit a brief statement of current capability to perform these services and a letter of interest. Interested and qualified sources should provide the following information: company name, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone number, fax number, type of business and size (i.e. Small, SBA Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), Women Owned, and/or Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVO); (2) a list of your most recent and relevant DoD and/or commercial contracts (not to exceed ten) to include a brief description, names, POCs, phone numbers, value and type of contract, and period of performance; and (3) information about your company and why you think you can perform these services. Please limit your submissions to ten pages. Send responses to the 87 Contracting Squadron, 87 CONS/LGCA, Attn: Karin Bogner, 2402 Vandenberg Ave., Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey 08641. Responses may also be submitted to Karin Bogner via e-mail to karin.bogner@us.af.mil in a PDF or Microsoft Word format. In order to be considered in this market survey, please reply by 4:15 p.m. (EST) on 30 Sep ‘14. Depending upon the response to this notice and other market research, the 87 CONS may limit the competition to a specific category of small business at the exclusion of all other potential business concerns. This announcement serves as the first step for 87 CONS to determine the viability of setting aside the procurement of transient alert and aircraft wash services for competition solely within or among certain small businesses in selected categories. This is a Sources Sought announcement only; no solicitation exists or is available at this time. This announcement shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. In the event a solicitation is developed, it will be assigned a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) number and the announcement will be published in the Fed Biz Opps website at www.fbo.gov. Potentially interested parties are responsible for monitoring Fed Biz Opps site for the release of the solicitation package as well as downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments, as applicable.
